Celtic Warrior Blue Light Celtic Warrior

The photograph above was taken by me in April of 2002, using my Hewlett-Packard C200 digital camera. The water from the well flows through a field, and then under one of the very old and narrow roads that lead to the earthworks on Tara's summit, to emerge on the far side through a small stone archway. When I first looked at the photograph and saw the spot of blue light just to the left-hand side of the flow of water, I thought it might have been due to the bright sunlight at the time, but when I zoomed in on that area using a graphics viewer, I could see quite clearly that this light, rather than being white, as one would imagine it should be had it been caused by the sun, was actually a very distinct deep shade of blue...

I went back there again the next day, since I was so intrigued by the effect, to see if there might be a small piece of colored glass or some other reflective material where the spot of light had appeared, but there was absolutely nothing to explain it, and even though I took a few more pictures from the very same position, the same phenomenon did not show itself again.

Many would, no doubt, insist that this has to be something which is explainable in conventional terms, but on the other hand, this could be a manifestation of the ancient magic of Tara.

Take a look at the enlargement of the area of this mysterious blue light, and decide for yourself if it is something "normal", or perhaps a reminder that all is not quite as predictable and mundane as we are led to believe it is in the 21st century...I leave the conclusion to your personal judgment.

The photograph is shown here exactly as it was taken, apart from some slight re-sizing to make it a little faster to download on the page.
